Meet the Artist!
My name is Gordon Stodola. I was born and raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. I grew up on a small farm in the 50's and 60's. I spent my childhood roaming the pastures and woods near my home. I always loved the outdoors and anything to do with hunting and fishing. I still do.
A Little Background
After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Wyoming in Laramine for a while and then the Dunwoody Technical Institute in Minneapolis, MN. I graduated with a degree in Surveying and Road Design.
I worked for 30 years for the Hennepin County Highway Department in Road Design. When I retired, I needed something to fill my days during the cold winter months in Minnesota. I decided to focus my interest in the outdoors in both Taxidermy and the creative hobby of wood carving.
I settled on fish carving and it has been a passion for me.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my Galley of Carving.
